These things never got nearly as much recognition as they deserved.

the first gens, on bags with some 19's, look FANTASTIC. this gen lost a little bit of it, but I can still work around it.

I like the design of the refreshed CC a fair bit, especially clever touches like the camera hidden in the pop-out trunk badge. It’s infuriating to drive, especially if doing some precision parking (like centering in a display parking space), and I cannot stand unframed windows on non-convertibles.
4/10, avoid.

Buddy had one. Run away screaming. Usual VW junk.

you sure it’s a twin-clutch?
I think it might be the regular automatic in those CC...

His power steering kept locking up, said it just about made him crash twice. And he’s not a chump behind the wheel who can’t deal with it just losing power assist. After the second time it happened (after VW “repaired” it), he just sued VW. They settled quickly.

huh. our A3 has 200K km (125k miles) on it. in BRUTAL canadian winters. its also NEVER sat in a garage.
the worst we had was an emissions sensor that went at 180K km.

I’m late to this feed and ironically I bought the same car 6 weeks ago. I love it. It’s loaded to the gills with options. I wanted one since they came out but loved my 06 A4 as well. The cc vr6 isn’t as potent as an apr stage ii 2.0 but I haven’t added anything yet either. It stands out tremendously where I live and I get compliments all the time.
